His Royal Highness Tengku Putra of the State of Selangor, Malaysia had a fun-filled day, when Davao del Norte Governor Edwin “Kuya Gob” Jubahib treated the prince to a tour of the Philippine Eagle Center and the Malagos Chocolate Museum, in Malagos, Davao City today, July 2, 2026.

The two officials enjoyed light moments, as they energetically walked through the lush conservation facility, while being briefed about the conservation efforts of the Philippine Eagle Foundation in saving the National Bird and the biodiversity it represents.

They also shared the delightful tree-to-bar experience of the chocolate-making process, where they tried chocolate molding, after exploring the chocolate museum’s interactive exhibits that showcased the rich history and journey of cacao bean to world class chocolate.

Since no visit to Davao is ever complete without tasting the king of fruits, the leaders and their party were treated to the different varieties of the Philippines’ famous durian, embracing another unique local experience.

The tour is part of the three-day royal visit of the Malaysian prince to the Province of Davao del Norte, where he served as the Guest of Honor during the celebration of the 59th Araw ng Davao del Norte.

His Highness earlier witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement for the establishment of a Waste-to-Energy Facility in Davao del Norte, funded by Malaysian investors.
