Pormal nga gitunol sa Consulate General of Japan ang kapin P3 milyon nga kantidad sa bamboo processing equipment ngadto sa Bobongon Tree Planters Association Inc. (BTPAI) atol sa turnover ceremony nga gipahigayon sa Purok 3, San Roque, Barangay Bobongon, Santo Tomas, niadtong Hulyo 9.

Gipangunahan ni Consulate General Ono Hirotaka ug Vice Consul General Airi Nakata ang maong seremonya isip kabahin sa Grant Assistance for Grassroots Projects (GGP) sa gobyerno sa Japan. Ang programa nagtumong sa pagpalig-on sa panginabuhian sa komunidad pinaagi sa paghatag og angay nga kagamitan alang sa pagproseso sa kawayan sama sa pagputol, pagsi-ak ug pagpasinaw sa kawayan. Sulti ni Hirotaka nga tabang kini nila sa nasampit nga asosasyon.

“This project, implemented under the Japan Development Assistance's Grant Assistance for Grassroots Projects, reflects our shared commitment to helping communities build a better future through their own hard work and initiative. I believe that these new bamboo processing machines will help the Bobongon Tree Planters Association... I hope this facility will become a source of opportunity for the association and its members and wider community for many years to come,” ingon niya.

Sa mensahe ni Governor Edwin I. Jubahib nga gipaabot pinaagi ni Provincial Administrator Atty. Ralph Dela Cruz, gipasalamatan sa gobernador ang suporta sa Japan nga nagpamatuod sa lig-ong kooperasyon sa duha ka mga nasod.

“We are profoundly grateful to the government of the people of Japan for this generous grant which stands as a testament to the strong and enduring friendship between our two nations,” matud ni Dela Cruz.

Mapasalamaton sab ang mga opisyal ug mga miyembro sa BTPAI sa gihatag nga mga makinarya nga gilauman nga makatabang sa pagpauswag sa industriya sa kawayan.

Ang naasoy'ng seremonya gitambongan sa representante ni Vice Governor Clarice Jubahib, Department of Trade and Industry Regional Director Romeo Castañaga, mga representante sa DENR XI, ug mga department heads sa kapitolyo lakip ang Provincial Agriculture Office (PAGRO), Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (PENRO), Provincial Planning and Development Office (PPDO), ug uban pang departamento.

Nagtambong usab ang mga lokal nga opisyal sa Santo Tomas nga gipangulohan ni Mayor Roland Dejesica, kanhi Mayor Ernesto Evangelista kuyog sa ubang mga bisita ug mga stakeholders nga nagpakita sa ilang suporta sa maong proyekto.
