Gipasabot ni Ms. Maria Theresa Lazaro, Executive Director sa Office of Consular Affairs, DFA nga bisan kung nag-soft opening sila niadtong Nobyembre 26, karon nga semana (Disyembre 17) mag-full operation na ang opisina.

We open 150 slots per day but starting next week magfu-full operation na kami kasi ang mga staff dito they have been training na the past three months before dumating sila dito,” pagbutyag ni Ms. Lazaro sa interbyu.
Midugang ang DFA Executive Director nga dali na lang karon ang pag-apply pinaagi ug “on-line” ug bisan ang pagkuha ug “appointment” aron ma-kompleto ang pasaporte.
“Yung mag-a-apply from Tagum hindi na pupunta sa Davao.They will save 250 yung pamasahe, malaking tulong bukod pa sa oras. Dito di na kailangan pumila, maraming slots available. Mag-apply kayo online and then schedule kayo for appointment. Madali na po’ng makakuha ng appointment ngayon,” dugang pasabot sa Executive Director.
Sa bahin sa GMalls, matod ni Mr. Kelvin Gaisano, Vice President, nga tinguha gayod nila nga dili lang lugar adtoan aron mag-shopping ang mga tawo hinuon nga mahimong “bisan unsa nga lugar sa komunidad.”
“Ang goal namin for the month is to become “Place to the Community.” It’s going to be more than just eating, dining and shopping. We also want people to be able to do other things like in government offices, that’s why we work with the DFA to bring the DFA closer to the people,” pasabot sa GMalls Vice President..

“In a way yes, kasi ang DFA medyo mahirap, harder to access for people in Mindanao. Sa Davao matagal yung pila, mahaba yung pila. So when they were looking for sites, so the offer. Sabi naman namin hindi naman siya profitable talaga but it’s fine to have a partnership with them. Ang DFA-Tagum mao ang pinaka-una nga mall-based regional consular office nga gibuksan ilawom sa Public-Private Partnership (PPP) nga programa sa DFA ug GMalls. Kini na sab ang ika-32 nga Consular Office sa Pilipinas ug ikapito sa Mindanao aron mapaduol ang mga serbisyo konsular sa katawhan sa Davao del Norte ug mga silingang dapit.
