Teachers and students of Sto. Tomas Central Elementary School SPED Center received brand new laptops, high end smartphones and Wifi kit from Ayala Foundation Inc. thru the Office of the Congressman Alan R. Dujali.

“These gadgets will surely help both the teachers and the students attain learning continuity amidst this pandemic” Ernie L. Caas, Principal III of STCESSC said.

Six brand new HP laptops and 12 pieces tote bag with Codeit manual and tshirt for teachers which would surely help in facilitating their online lessons and prepare self-learning modules for the students. 32 teachers were trained by Ayala Foundation Inc. partnered with Microsoft Philippines under Project <code/it>. A project which is a digital literacy learning program that provides public elementary school teachers with access to basic computer science and programming education as part of their educational curriculum. These teachers were trained to program and make codes in Kudo, Scratch and Microbit. The trainings aimed to adapt learning integrated in the modern technology and hoped to build a quality life in the future. With these trainings, a vision comes into a more hopeful situation that may bring well-developed individuals whose minds are beyond the corners of the book but a leap to discover new innovations in a modern world.

Nine Huawei Nova 2i, nine Huawei Mate10, four Huawei T3 7 inch Tablet, two Huawei Y6 and 12 Wifi modem were also given to deserving and potential students of STCESSC. These gadgets could be used in making Kudo, Scratch and Microbit which would eventually be helpful and useful to the 21st century learners.

Sto, Tomas Central Elementary School SPED Center wholeheartedly thank the Ayala Foundation, Inc. and Congressman Alan R. Dujali who support learning in the new era of technology. With these, we believe that education through technology becomes a powerful agent of change that will build differences in the coming generations. We are also hopeful that someday all the teachers in STCESSC would be given the same opportunity of receiving brand new laptops.
