Davao del Norte - Governor Anthony del Rosario challenged all capitol employees to work beyond mediocrity in the discharge of their duties as civil servants.

At the kick-off of the month-long celebration of the 116th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary in the province, the governor enjoined the employees of the province to be the exemplars of the provincial government’s performance slogan "Basta DavNor Da Best".

"... I want to make it clear that mediocrity has no place in my administration. I want every personnel of the Provincial Government … to be the model of our performance branding, ‘Basta DavNor, the Best," the governor stressed.

Del Rosario told the personnel to be the models of change in their day-to-day work and greatly contribute in the province’s stake as an active participant in the President's thrust to transform the Philippine society.

“Channel your energies and enthusiasm in strengthening competitiveness and innovation to enable our people and the province to rise towards national prominence and global relevance," the governor said.

He encouraged particularly the old-timer employees to strive to adapt to new ways and technologies in order to better deliver services to the public.

"There is no reason for us to be ineptitude whatsoever. Everyone of us has to keep pace with the new bureaucratic systems and procedures, together with rapid technological advancement influencing the way we do business,” he added.
