Davao del Norte, in partnership with Alfa Link Total Solution Corporation, hosted the first ever Technology Convention & Expo which opened last October 12, 2016 at the RDR Gym.

Governor Anthony del Rosario welcomed the 24 exhibitors who showcased various Information & Communication Technology (ICT) products. It included the latest models of computers, laptops, cellphones and other gadgets that can efficiently fast track information and data transfers anywhere in the world.

“In Davao del Norte, pursuant to our thrust of continuing legacy of transformative leadership of governance, we put high premium on utilizing ICT to sustain our high standard performance in firing up our agenda of providing the best quality of life for all Dabaonons . .  On this note, I am urging our players in the local ICT sector to give your all-out support and commitment to our hallowed vision of attaining our most competitive state. I assure you that the provincial government of Davao del Norte shall endeavor to provide all the mechanisms crucial to engender and conducive environment for business growth,” expressed the Governor in line with the importance of modern technology in the delivery of public service.

According to Mr. Lorenzo Y. Rubinos, Sr., Chairman of the Board of LYR Group of Companies, eventhough he started his business in 1983, he himself is convinced on the need to adopt technology innovations in order for the business to prosper.

“Technology is a necessity of our life if we want to grow, if we want to progress, if we want to become profitable in our business. That’s why I would like to congratulate the 24 exhibitors, our business partners. . . I assure you, we are your partners in the modern technology,” said Rubinos Sr.

This November, Alfa Link Total Solutions Corporation will open their new store fronting the Old Christ the King Cathedral, Tagum City which will showcase latest ICT products with a wider variety for the public to choose from. 

Furthermore, Chairman Rubinos manifested their support to the Government especially to the Davao del Norte LGU by contributing to employment opportunities in the region. Aside that they do not adhere to contractual system (ENDO), the chairman also expressed their willingness to augment the Government's rehabilitation program for the victims of illegal drugs by donating one (1) hectare of lot.

“I offer one hectare lot nga himoong rehabilitation center ug kung wala mo’y budget, mohatag ko’g bilding, ma-push through lang nga kadtong mga adik nga pwede mareporma pa nato mobalik [I offer one hectare lot for a rehibalitation center... if you don't have the budget, I will provide a building.. just to push through with our rehabilitation program for drug addicts],” stressed Rubinos as part of LYRGC corporate social responsibility projects.

The said Technology Convention & Expo will conclude on October 14, 2016.
