Gipasidunggan sa Probinsyal nga Panggamhanan ang mga Local Government Units, pipila ka ahensiya sa gobyerno, sektor sa edukasyon ug hudikatora, atol sa 3rd Provincial ADAC Congress sa Heroben Hometel, Tagum City, niadtong Nobyembre 16, 2023.
Gikanayon ni Provincial Social Welfare and Development Officer ug kasamtangang PADAC Secretariat Head Rosalinda Rapista, nga daghang pasidungog ang ilang gihatag sama sa Local Audit and Assessment, Video-Making Contest, BKD Best Implementer, Quiz Bee Competition, ug Poster Making Contest. Dugang ni Rapista nga dako kaayo ang suporta ni Governor Edwin “Kuya Gov” Jubahib aron makunhoran o di ba kaha mapugngan ang pagkuyanap sa ilegal nga droga sa probinsya.
“So, ingon ana ka supportive si Kuya Gov sa atoang drug prevention program, just to prevent and at least ma-eliminate hinay-hinay po,”matud ni Rapista.
Sa mensahe ni Kuya Gov, nga gisaysay sa iyang Executive Assistant Wowee de Ramos, gibutyag ang padayong pagpaningkamot sa gobernador nga makahatag og mga programa aron malikay ang mga kabataan sa pagamit sa ilegal nga droga. Gidayeg usab sa gobernador ang mga City ug Municipal Drug Abuse Council sa padayon nga pagtuman sa ilang mandato sa pagpakgang sa kalihokan sa ilegal nga droga sa ilahang lokalidad.
“Gusto ni Kuya Gov nga magpadayon ang matag-usa sa inyohang mga good practices, good deeds sa matag LGU sa inyong pagpaningkamot aron masumpo ang atoang mga problema labi na gayud sa illegal drugs. Ang gihimo karon sa provincial government to encourage sa atoang mga kabatan-onan sa atoang komunidad. Mao nang naa ta’y mga papremyo, naa ta’y mga contest nga gigahinan gyud sa atoang provincial government ni Kuya Gov Edwin Jubahib through PSWD para ma-promote, ma-divert labi na sa atong mga kabatan-onan imbes nga malulong sa ginadiling droga, maadto sa sports, maadto sa mga arts,”sumala ni de Ramos.
Nahimong keynote speaker sa kalihokan si Executive Judge Jimmy B. Boco, kinsa nagbatbat sa kamahinungdanon sa nagkahiusang pamilya aron sa pagsumpo o paglikay sa ilegal nga droga.
“Now, can we curve illegal drugs? Can we at least minimize the proliferation of illegal drugs? As has been experienced, we cannot. But, at least in our own way, right inside our home we have the duty to protect our children. So, ladies and gentlemen, the people that being addressed in our theme today, is that right inside your home, your children, your partner and anybody inside your home. Address this problem because if we fail to address this problem, we fail to address the problem of the entire community and these go up to the country. Let them feel that they belong to our family. Let them know that they are loved. Let them know that they are cared. Let them know that we are one big and happy family,” ingon ni Executive Judge Boco.
Subay sa maong kalihokan nakuha sa Lungsod sa B.E. Dujali ang Rank No. 1 Excellence Award alang sa Local Audit and Assessment. Nidawat kini’g cash prize balor P50,000. Gisundan sa Lungsod sa Talaingod nga dunay cash prize nga P40,000, samtang ikatulo ang Lungsod sa San Isidro nga nidawat sab og P30,000.
Ang 3rd Provincial ADAC Congress gipatigayon atol sa kasaulogan sa Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Week ubos sa temang “People First: Stop Stigma and Discrimination. Strengthen Prevention”.
