After the successful second batch of Bachelor in Public Administration and Certificate in Early Childhood Education, the Governor expressed to add more programs in the Davao del Norte Learning Institute-Davao del Norte State College (DNLI-DNSC).

In the 2nd Commencement Exercises consisting of 88 student-employees, the Governor revealed his administration’s plan to include courses greatly needed to effect quality public service towards the Dabaonon populace.

After the success of our Bachelor in Public Administration and Certificate in  Early Childhood Education, we are offering next the Diploma on 1) Peace and Order Studies for police officers and barangay peacekeepers; 2) Public Health for barangay health workers and barangay nutrition scholars; 3) Disaster Risk Reduction and Management; 4) Community-Based Tourism Management; and, 5) Information and Communication Technology in support of our breakthrough Alternative Government Revenue Collection, Disbursement and Citizen ID Systems project,” expressed Gov AGR in front of the hundreds in attendance during the graduation held at the RDR GYM yesterday, October 17.

He further explained DNLI-DNSC as vital counterparts in his administration in extending assistance to employees to become better and effective public servants.

So, we combined established HRM practices with the new paradigm to achieve superior performance. Because, the key to excellent accomplishment lies in the competence and commitment of our people. . .The institute has become among the important anchors of our human development program, under our BEST PEOPLE strategy.  It is a dynamic driving force of our aim to become a very competitive and welfare-driven province, pursuant to our governance slogan, “Abilidad at Malasakit”. . . As we celebrate two years of trailblazing partnership, we are upping the ante in equipping our public personnel with skills and knowledge to best serve our constituents," added the Governor.

He challenged the graduates to continue their education and career growth by exemplifying it in their service to the constituents of their respective LGUs.

So, to our graduates, be proud of your accomplishments . . . “it is attitude, not really aptitude that will determine your altitude.” Continue to grow in knowledge by sharing what you have learned. Don’t be reluctant to share your wisdom. Remember that knowledge that is not shared has no value. Like money, it has worth only when it is being circulated,” encouraged the Governor.
