Uban sa tema nga “Alagaan ang Puso: Maghealthy Lifestyle—Go drug Free, Go Smoke Free, Go Sustansya, Go Sigla, and Go Slow sa Tagay,” unang higayon nga miapil ang mga empleyado sa Tagum Doctors Hospital, Medical Mission Hospital, United Doctors Hospital ug Aquino Medical Specialist Hospital, Inc. nga nakighimamat sa mga kaubanan diha sa gobyerno nga panerbisyo.
“Dili nato kalimtan ang purpose of the sportfest. We would like to develop camaraderie and friendship among the health workers. This is the time for us nga . . mahimamat nato ang kapwa nurses, kapwa doctors, kapwa health workers dire sa health sector sa Davao Province. “Reports of the World Health Organization are alarming. WHO reveals that, each year, CVDs kill about 17.5 million people. Otherwise put, CVDs are responsible to 31 percent (31%) of all deaths worldwide. Mga kahigalaan, that is 1 of 3. . . Dako gyod ug posibilidad nga mamatay tungod sa CVD. “This Sportsfest is a testament that we are gearing up efforts to defeat the killer diseases. In so doing, it is important, of course, that we strengthened our first line of defense which only becomes solid and powerful when our health personnel are also strong and healthy. . .sports is one effective way of achieving that,” padayon ni Gob AGR.
