Gidayeg ni Gobernador Anthony del Rosario ang Syudad sa Tagum tungod sa programang Gulayan sa Paaralan at Pamayanan.
Ilawom sa maong programa, ang mga gulay gitanom ug gipadako diha sa mga container ug bisan sa gagmay’ng luna sa eskwelahan ug komunidad.
“I highly commend the Department of Agriculture, specifically your City Agriculture Office and the DepEd for this “Gulayan sa Paaralan at Pamayanan” program. This project boosts the awareness of young children on the significance of growing vegetables. . . . Under this program, the vegetables are organically-grown in plots and empty containers which means minimizing expenses. Furthermore, it would help and train students and the community to refrain from consuming foods with chemicals derived from Pesticides and Insecticides which are considered health hazards. Chemical-free vegetables are safe to use in the school feeding program also,” pagdayeg ni Gob AGR.
Gawas sa maong kaayohan, gipasiugda sab ni Gob del Rosario nga makatabang ang mga tanom sa pagpamenos sa carbon dioxide nga ipagawas sa mga tawo.
“Gulayan sa Paaralan at Pamayanan add color to the surrounding . . . . The presence of these plants help the conversion of carbon dioxide emitted by all breathing organisms; reintroduces oxygen into the atmosphere,” pasabot sa gobernador.
Gipasalamatan sab ni Gob AGR ang Gulayan sa Paaralan at Pamayanan sa tabang niini sa pagtuman sa direksyon sa iyang programang pangkalamboan sa pagpakusog sa “Abilidad at Malasakit kun AMA, nga mahimong tighatod ug kaayohan ngadto sa iyang mga ginsakpan.
“Thru this Gulayan sa Paaralan, we can instill into the young minds of our children the importance of giving value some of the letter-acronyms of our BEST PEOPLE development agenda; letter B-Balance Ecology by taking care of our environment, letter S-Sustained Agri-aquaculture through containers and limited plots and of course the long-lasting value of letter E- which is Education. Kaya dapat lang na kilalanin natin ang ating mga paaralan at pamayanan na nagpupunyagi para sa ikabubuti ng Dabaonon,” pahayag sa gobernador atubangan ni Mayor Allan Rellon ug mga opisyales, Regional Directors Atty. Alberto Escobarte sa DepEd ug Engr. Ricardo Oñate sa Department of Agriculture ug mga awardees sa GPP program niadtong Myerkoles, Oktubre 19 didto sa Atrium, City Hall, Tagum City.
