Nakadawat na sab ug Seal of Local Good Governance (SGLG) ang probinsyal nga kagamhanan sa Davao del Norte ug ang mga syudad sa Tagum, Panabo ug Island Garden City of Samal lakip na ang lungsod sa Braulio E. Dujali gikan sa Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG).
Atol sa Convocation Program kagahapon Lunes, Oktubre 7, gipahibalo ni DILG Provincial Director Alex Roldan ang nadawat nga pasidungog sa probinsya ug sa laing tulo pa ka mga LGUs.
“There are only about 316 LGUs nationwide out of the more than 1,700 who made it and one of these is the local government of the province of Davao del Norte. . . I’d like to inform everyone that all three component cities of the province, Tagum City, Panabo and Samal Island, your IGACOS and one municipality. . BE Dujali. They are the only ones who pass the Seal of Local Good Governance,” pahibalo ni DILG provincial director Roldan atubangan sa malipayong department heads ug mga empleyado sa Kapitolyo.
Ang SGLG nga kanhi gitawag ug Seal of Good Housekeeping (SGH) nga programa gihatag ngadto sa mga munisipyo, syudad ug probinsya kinsa nakakab-ot sa mga sukdanan sa mapinadayonon maayong pagdumala samtang nagtagana usab ug lain-laing serbisyo ngadto sa publiko uban ang pagka may tulubagon (accountability) ug pagka bukas (transparent) sa iyang mga transaksyon ngadto sa publiko.
Usa ang Davao del Norte sa pipila lang ka mga probinsya sa tibuok nasod nga ang tanang LGUs niini pasado sa SGH.
“However, we are only the few of the provinces nationwide with 100% passing in seal of good housekeeping. . . For an LGU to become an SGLG recipient, an LGU needs to pass all three core assessment areas: One, good financial housekeeping; second, social protection; third, disaster preparedness; and, at least one from the essential assessment areas which are business friendliness and competitiveness, peace and order and/or environmental management,” pasabot sa probinsyal direktor.
Gawas sa pasidungog, may mga insentibo usab nga mabatonan ang mga LGU nga pasado sa SGLG.
“LGUs meeting the minimum criteria shall not only conferred with the SGLG but will also entitled them to a package of incentives such as the Performance Challenge Fund and access to other national performance based programs,” padayong pasabot ni direktor Roldan.
Ug alang sa pito pa ka mga LGUs nga wala makadawat sa SGLG, gibutyag ni Roldan nga ang ilang opisina mohimo ug mga interbensyon aron usab ilang maabot ang mga kinahanglanon.
“For LGUs who did not make the mark, the department will provide capacity development interventions for them to help bring the seal,”pagbutyag ni probinsyal direktor Roldan.
Sa miaging 2015, ang probinsyal nga kagamhanan sa DavNor nakadawat sab ug SGLG.
