Davao del Norte – For the first time, the Provincial Government of Davao del Norte is pouring a deluge of government services to the Dabaonon people during this year’s founding anniversary celebration of the province.
Thousands of people are expected to mob the BEST PEOPLE Festival of Services from June 26 to June 28, 2018, which lends more meaning to the weeklong Kadagayaan Festival 2018, in celebration of the 51st Araw ng Davao del Norte.
The Province is providing over a hundred types of government services during the three-day activity at the Davao del Norte Sports and Tourism Complex Ground.
The event is a spin-off of the weeklong caravan of services already being rolled out by the Province to the various local government unit since February this year, bringing vital government services right at the doorsteps of the Dabaonons.
Provincial Administrator Samson Sanchez bared the activity depicts the essence of the governance branding of Governor Anthony del Rosario, which is summarized in his Abilidad at Malasakit (AMA) (Competence and Compassion) leadership slogan.
Over 15,000 beneficiaries have already benefitted from the jam-packed weeklong caravan of services, which have since visited the municipalities of New Corella, Asucion, B.E. Dujali, and Carmen, as well as the City of Panabo.
Services provided for free include medical and dental services, social services, legal registration, application and renewal of licenses, clearances, permits and passports, executive courses and community dialogue, sports and youth development, and grooming and wellness, among dozens of other services.
The last episode of the weeklong “Serbisyo Caravan” was held just last week in Carmen, Davao del Norte, in time with the celebration of the 50th Araw ng Carmen.
Couple Monet and Sandy Madayan of Taba, Carmen, were among the more than 3,000 recipients of the latest episode of the Caravan of Services.
They were grateful to have availed of free medical services, including LTO services and the application for their marriage contract.
“Miari mi dire aron maka-avail sa LTO ug sa marriage contract pod namo magpa-konsulta pod mi… Dako’g katabang ni sa amoa nga walay panahon nga moadto’g layo aron mo-process parehas ning LTO, marriage contract (This (caravan) is of great help for who are not lucky enough to have the luxury of time to process our requirements for LTO and marriage contract processing),” the couple said.
The official partners of this year’s 51st Araw ng Davao del Norte celebrations are the Tagum Agricultural Development Company, Inc. (TADECO) and Ulticon Builders, Inc.
While the sponsors of the historic event include the Hijo Resources Corporation, Davao Metro Shuttle, Kapalong Cooperative, Tagum Cooperative, Inc., and LYR Group of Companies.
