“Today, January 13, 2019 marks the first day of the election period in relation to the May 13, 2019 national elections. As early as 12:01 this morning, our first activity is to established check points in the entire Philippines by the Commission on Elections. For today we will have our integrity pledge, our unity walk and the peace covenant signing. This is not just an activity but a symbolic act in everyone’s participation today, that we only have one goal—and that is to have a safe, peaceful and credible elections this coming national elections. We want to make a statement out of this activity, to the whole Filipinos, that we want to have a safe and peaceful and clean elections on May 19, 2019 national elections,” matod ni Provincial Election Supervisor Atty. Monalisa Mamukid.
Sa Domingo, Enero 13 diin nagsugod ang “election period” nagsugod sab ang mga pagdili nga ipatuman.
“With the start of the 2019 election period also starts some of the prohibited acts that I hope the candidates would comply. One of which is the gun ban, the prohibition of the possession of firearms. Let us not also forget to comply the mandates of the Omnibus Election Code in the proper size of your campaign materials and to post it in the proper posting area. Ang kapolisan pinaagi sa DNPPO mipasalig sab alang sa usa ka hapsay ug malinawong eleksyon.
“For us in PNP and likewise our counterparts the Armed Forces of the Philippines, ang aming papel is for orderly and peaceful elections. . May mga hakbangin na po kaming ginawa, konting pagbabago. Ito po’y naayon sa presensya at perception na ayaw po naming mangyari na kayo po’y magdududa. Sa political spectrum. . pinipili po namin sa PNP at sa AFP, nasa sentro kami and we can deliver the peaceful and orderly elections. Kanya-kanya po tayong papel sa darating na eleksyon. Ang pinakamariin po sa ating lahat hindi lang po sa PNP, sa Army at sa Comelec kundi po sa ating lahat lalong-lalo na po sa ating mga kandidato,” matod ni Acting Police Provincial Director PSSupt Ferlu Silvio.
Gawas sa Comelec ug PNP, aktibong nakigbahin sa Unity Walk sayo sa Domingo, Enero 13 ang mga kandidato sa Hugpong ng Pagbabago (HNP), PDP, mga independent candidates, DILG, DepEd, NGOs, opisyales sa gobyerno, mga force multipliers ug religious sector.
