“It’s the Council of Women Foundation in partnership with the Provincial Government of Davao del Norte. . Actually this Physicians for Peace we started last August (2019), unya nagkaroon na mi ug assessments sa mga pungkol (amputee). Before that, nagapangita gyod ning Physicians for Peace ug NGOs, credible partners para mapahimo ning varied services particularly ngadto sa mga PWDs; to’ng mga walay tiil, buta, bungol, kadtong mga cerebral palsy, kadtong nanginahanglan ug wheelchairs. So this is a different kind of a mission in which we are providing devices such as wheelchairs, crutches, canes.

“Physicians for Peace will be providing sa kakulangan sa tao like glasses, but we won’t give reading glasses only graded glasses. Naay examination karon, tan-awon unsa’y ilang grado and after that dalhon nila didto sa Manila then ipadala sa among organization for distributions. .

“I requested PSWD to give us all the data of all the PWDs according sa ilang kakulangan. So they will be going home nga naa na’y mga tiil already. Karon ang himoon na pod namo, we’ll measuring some of the patients kadtong wala maka-avail last August. . Depende sa nag-abot, we’ll make sure and I‘d tried my very best nga ma-accommodate gyod namo tanan. Kaya I requested PSWD, give me all the data so I can present these to the Physicians for Peace that Davao del Norte need these wheelchairs, these prostheses and other devices,” pahayag ni Ms. Alma Uy.
